Do good results come from talking up the possibilities?

Last week my wife semi-surprised me where I was having breakfast. She was excited to dream talk about some immediate possibilities that we had up in the air.

So we had great fun talking up favored outcomes for several potential (and potentially big) art sales.

We ignored likelihoods and talked playful fantasy.

How enjoyable to send energy in that direction. Really. We were like kids at playtime.

It may have had no affect at all on the outcomes.

(Though we did have our best week since the stock market crash.)

(And one of our best weeks of all time.)

(But I think it had very little to do with our talk.)

(I think it had to do with all the other talks . . . where we play-acted success . . . when there were no possibilities up in the air.)
