Hard ground, for when you need it
When things go bad, get close to the ground. The bitterest events can be assuaged by ground.
It feels like this: that nothing can go wrong when I lie upon the hard ground. I relax utterly with nothing between me and earth. No bed, no mattress, no comforters. It’s just me and earth. I am securest there.
We’ve never not known ground. It’s the solidity of ground that frees one — it’s an aligning with the most colossal mass of our existence.
Hard surface, supple body, flexible mind, unbroken spirit.
It’s the savasana principle.
