I am a witness to greatness.

Now that I know loss and failure are the hardest damn things to endure, I am witness to greatness all around me. It’s as if have new eyes.

I’ve been up and I’ve been middle and I’ve been down. Middle and up are glides across the water with the wind at your back at full sail.

Down is so far down you can’t see up.

So when I see down — people who are down — who remain up — upbeat — I see greatness. There’s no other way to define it.
