My wife, muttering to herself in her studio, looking at her artwork in progress:

“I just have to remember they go through an ugly phase.”

Isn’t that so true of all creations! There can come a point when things get messy, maybe even beyond resurrection . . . .

I’m sure you can think of a time in your past when things (seemingly) went awry, only to come together serendipitously, even wondrously.

It’s a good reminder: It is what it is, but it’s not what it will be.
