Richer than King George the (blank)
Remember, affluence is relative.
Every person in America with electric lights, a hot shower, flushable toilet, TV, stove, and Internet access is insanely rich — in comparison to any royalty of yester-centuries.
For example, King George with any Roman numeral behind his name. Because he didn’t have any of that.
(It was King George III whom the American colonies rebelled against.)
But no, we flog ourselves silly by comparing ourselves to virtually anyone alive today who has more.
You never hear of anyone comparing themselves to someone making half of what they make, do you?
