The best thing to happen to God: Skepticism

Here’s what I learned listening to a lecture about the Anti-Federalists:

It’s because of those who were opposed to the Constitution that we have a Bill of Rights enumerating individual rights today.

The best way to strengthen a concept is to gain an opposition.

Opposition forces clarity. And ultimately synthesis.

A synthesis occurs incorporating the (seeming) opposites. A new greater concept is struck.

Federalists combat Anti-Federalists and the Bill of Rights is born.

The best method to improve and define any concept is skepticism.

And God is a concept.

(An experience too . . . yet as soon as we drift from the Experience, the concept, however limited, is what remains.)
