The people who would like to meet me someday

You’ve heard of bucket lists. Lists of what you’d like to experience before you die (before you kick the bucket).

I’ve also heard this concept promoted: A people bucket list. A list of the people you’d like to meet before you die.

I’m doing a variation. The People Who Would Like To Meet Me Someday list.

The idea behind this list is that I’m living my life in such a way that what I’m doing in the world inspires these others to want to meet me too. So that it’s not lopsided.

Here are a few examples:

  • A peddle-car ride with Russell Brand
  • A smoothie with Marianne Williamson
  • A mutual interview with Lisa Garr, host of The Aware Show in LA (you didn’t think a radio show named thusly could be from Des Moines, did you? Not yet, but consciousness is opening up everywhere!)
  • Kayaking with Woody Harrelson on the Lost River in Stuart, Florida
  • A walk and a meditation with Michael Bernard Beckwith
  • Walking dogs with Jeannette Maw of The Good Vibe Blog
  • A beach walk with Wayne Dyer
  • Sitting by a brook with Oprah
  • Hanging out on Jim Carrey’s outdoor meditation platform
  • Hanging out in Val Kilmer’s treehouse
  • Working on a charity project with Jimmy Carter. Time’s a spinning, you better call me soon Jimmy.
  • A smoothie and a poetry reading with Maya Angelou. Maya, I trust you’re gonna live to a thousand, you probably have a little more time than Jimmy above.
  • Treading water in a pool with Mike Dooley
  • Hanging out in the HugMobile during Burning Man, with John ‘Halcyon’ Styn from Hug Nation
  • Collaborative projects with any of 500 people I admire
